Training of Secondary Facilities both Private and Public on KECHEMA activities..

KECHEMA HOLDS TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR HEADS OF 38 PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECONDARY HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS ACCROSS THE STATE.

The Management of Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KECHEMA) says it will continue to engage and train stakeholders on proper implementation protocols of Kebbi Contributory Healthcare Scheme (KECHES).
The Executive Secretary of the Agency Dr Jafar Augie Muhammad stated this at a One-Day Training Workshop for Principal Medical Officers PMOs, Chief Medical Directors CMDs, Medical Directors MDs, KECHEMA Desk Officers and other Stakeholders.
Dr Jafar said the Training was necessitated as part of efforts to correct misunderstandings in the implementation of Kebbi state Contributory Health Scheme and also to obtain the needed feedback from the implementers at secondary facility level.
The Executive Secretary also called on the Trainees to avail themselves with the opportunity by tabling all their challenges for Frank discussions and solutions.
Dr Jafar further called on the PMOs to see themselves as important drivers of the scheme, therefore they should continue to sensitize and mobilize their communities to join the scheme.
Also speaking, the Director Standard Quality Assurance of the Agency, Hajiya Nurse Ummu Adamu Yauri said the Training was organized inorder to enlightened the Healthcare providers on various aspects of KECHEMA programmes that includes referral system, claims Management and many other issues.
At the Workshop the State Coordinator of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Alhaji Musa Magaji took the participants on the Overview of the NHIA programmes while the Director Admin KECHEMA Alhaji Muktar A Zaki took the trainees on the Leadership role at the Health facility by the Incharges.
Similarly the Director ICT of the Agency, Ibrahim Salisu Illo took the Trainees on Enrolment Process, Monthly Enrollees Register, and Enrollees Right while the Director  Finance and Investment of the Agency, Alhaji Aminu M Shantali took the trainees on the Financial Management, Concept and Capitation, Fee for Service and Financial guidelines.
Moreover the Director Planning Research and Statistics of the Agency, Malam Suleiman Usman Kanya took the participants on Data Quality and Reporting under BHCPF/KECHES while the Head of Legal Department of the Agency, Barrister Hadiza Tukur took the Trainees on the legal aspect of KECHEMA programmes and penalties for breach of implementation guidelines.
Highlights of the Training Workshop was Suggestions, Questions and Answers from different angles during the programme.
The workshop have in attendance, the Director Medical Services of the State Ministry of Health, Dr Jibril Labbo Gwandu, Director Nursing Services, Nurse Samaila Sauwa, Deputy Director Medical Services, Dr Lawal Kangiwa and CMDs of Sir Yahaiya Memorial Hospital B/Kebbi who is represented by HOCS Dr Faruk and that of Kebbi Medical Center Kalgo Dr Nuraddeen Muhammad Kangiwa respectively.
Others include the State Chairman Association of Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria Dr Abdulrahman Aliyu Godiya and SQA Staff of KECHEMA among others.
