FORMAL SECTOR ENROLMENT FLAG-OFF

The Kebbi State Contributory HealthCare Management Agency KECHEMA today Flagged-off formal sector enrolment into the Contributory HealthCare Scheme of the Agency.

The enrolment which kicked-up at the office of the State Head of Civil Service, captured the Head of Service, Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba Bena, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr Nuhu A Koko and the State NLC Boss, Comrade Umar Halidu Alasan.

Addressing Newsmen shortly after the commencement of the exercise, the State Head of Civil Service described the Scheme as a welcome development.

Alhaji Sufiyanu called on Civil Servants to join the Scheme for easy access to quality and affordable Healthcare Services.

He tasked the Agency to exhibit high level of commitment for the benefit of Civil Servants and overall success of the scheme.

Commenting on the exercise, The executive Secretary of KECHEMA, Dr Jafar Muhammad Augie said the Formal Sector enrolment was to enable public servants enjoy affordable HealthCare Services at low cost as the deduction from their salaries had since commenced.

Dr Jafar said about eighty seven thousand(87,000.) prospective enrolees were expected to be captured under the formal sector engagement.

He called on Civil Servants as the most intelligent sector of the scheme to be good ambassadors while acknowledging media outfit for their effective coverage of the Agencies activities.

The Executive Secretary expressed hope that the incoming administration would sustain the laudable initiative of the present government.

Dr Jafar also acknowledges with pride the efforts of the state government for approving the formal sector enrolment into the scheme.

In a remark, the State NLC Boss, Comrade Umar Halidu Alhassan expressed delight with the commencement of formal sector enrolment while calling on the State government to contribute it ten percent share to enable the civil servants enjoy the services effectively.

Comrade Umar advised KECHEMA to comply with the rules governing the Agency for the Success of the Scheme.

Also captured today were the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr Nuhu A Koko, Permanent Secretary General Admin, Alhaji Suleiman Sani and that of Carbinet and Political Affairs Alhaji Dahiru Zaki among Others.
